We have selected 3 travel destinations to go on holiday in July or August.

Bali in July and August

Bali in July and August

Bali is a popular travel destination and the summer months are the best months to vacation on the island of the gods.

Bali’s temperatures remain between 26 and 29 degrees all year round, but summer is a particularly favorable time for a holidaymaker to travel, as that’s when the island has a dry season. This in turn means long, sunny days and only light rainfall. In July, the sky is beautifully blue, while August is the driest month of the year.

Weather permitting, summer is a great time to enjoy a variety of water sports activities and snorkeling, for example on Sanuri’s kilometers of sandy beaches. In addition to the paradise beaches, Sanur also has a lively main street with restaurants and shops serving delicious food and charming souvenirs.

July and August are also good times to visit the artist city of Ubud in the volcanic highlands. Ubud is a fascinating city located in a location surrounded by lush rice terraces next to deep canyons. The city is known for its vibrant community of artists, but there you can also get to know other Balinese culture, for example by visiting one of the island’s countless temples. The water temple of Tirta Empul is one of the most famous of these, and the water bubbling from its thirty stone taps is considered sacred among the locals.

So if you are dreaming of turning a Finnish rainy summer into a dream paradise, Bali is a guaranteed choice.

Sri Lanka in July and August

Sri Lanka in July and August

Are you looking for a child-friendly destination for your summer vacation? Sri Lanka is then an excellent option. There is a place to see and see for all ages. According to Countryaah, Sri Lanka is a country located in South Asia.

In July and August, the weather is particularly pleasant in the northern and eastern parts of Sri Lanka, where there is a dry season at this time. The highlands, on the other hand, are at their best in August, as July can be unnecessarily hot and windy. The average temperature in the highlands at this time is 15-20 degrees, while on the coasts 25-30 degrees.

Those interested in history should head to the city of Anuradhapura, for example, which was conquered by the South Indian Chola dynasty in the late nineteenth century. The city was abandoned and forgotten for hundreds of years until it was rediscovered by the English in the 19th century. Today, Anuradhapura is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the city of Sigiriya, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can see the famous Lion Rock. The beautiful hill rises from the landscape to a height of 200 meters. The trip to the top is tough, and may not be suitable for the little ones, but the views from the top of the hill are definitely worth the effort. If you want more activity from your vacation, a leisurely bike ride may be just the right program number. During the trip you can see e.g. 12 meter high Buddha statue.

After a few eventful days, you may find yourself longing for relaxation. During the summer months, the sandy beaches of the east coast are best suited for beach holidays. Enjoy beach life in the shade of palm trees, take a dip in the crystal clear water or go snorkeling for a holiday of colorful tropical fish. For children, the beach is especially suitable, as the water only begins to deepen properly a full kilometer from the beach.

Thailand in July and August

Thailand in July and August

Exchange the pale summer sun of Finland for swaying palm trees, warm waves and a leisurely outing on the picturesque islands of Thailand.

The islands on the east coast of southern Thailand, such as Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, are excellent travel destinations when it is summer in Finland.

In summer, there is a dry season in this part of Thailand, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 30 degrees on average. Although short showers may occur, after them the sun will soon shine full blade again.

At Koh Phangan, on the other hand, nature plays a major role. Take a hike in the jungle, enjoy the views at Dom Sila Viewpoint or Relax on Haad Rin Beach, south of the island. You can also go on a day trip to Koh Tao, known for its excellent diving and snorkelling opportunities.

At Koh Samui, you can enjoy life on the idyllic Chaweng Noi Beach, for example. The fine sandy beach, swaying coconut palms and turquoise water create the perfect setting for a decent beach holiday. Thailand’s third largest island also offers much more to see. Island attractions include e.g. a large golden Buddha, an 18-meter-high Namung Waterfall, Ang Thong Marine Nature Park and shopping opportunities in Chaweng.

If you want to explore Thailand more broadly, you can head to the northern city of Chiang Mai, for example, and visit its many beautiful temples, or dive into the pulse of the big city in Bangkok. A tour of northern and central Thailand can be perfectly combined with a beach holiday in Koh Samui. However, keep in mind that there is a rainy season in July and August in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Showers are severe, but they don’t usually hit the hours of the day, and temperatures range from 20 to 32 degrees.

Thailand and the Thai islands are popular travel destinations, and once you’ve visited the country, you’ll be back with the Guarantee again and again!
