With four models, Canon launches its new MFP series PIXMA TS. All models are available from November onwards.
According to Canon, the PIXMA-TS series is a compact and elegant design, connectivity and ease of use. The models are to receive a housing up to 40 per cent smaller than the predecessor series PIXMA MG. The color LCD display of the models can be set up and offers a touch screen. According to the manufacturer, it should convince with simple navigation and functionality.
The four models of the PIXMA TS series
The four models are divided into the PIXMA TS5050 and TS6050 for beginners and for more demanding users the TS8050 and PIXMA TS9050. These models replace the previous MG5750 / 6850/7750 models. While the PIXMA TS5050 and TS6050 offer five individually replaceable ink cartridges, the two top-of-the-line TS8050 and TS9050 models come with an additional ink tank that includes photo-gray. This is also high demands of the photographic print enough, but not to the Canon-top model of the photo printers come close. An optional XL ink cartridge allows you to print more pages. However, such cartridges with high filling amounts are quite common.
Well connected by WLAN
All models offer a built-in Wi-Fi for wireless printing, with appropriate app from Canonincidentally also directly, without having to be involved in wireless network. So can also be with Android smartphones and iOS devices such as iPhone and iPad print.
The PIXMA TS8050 and PIXMA TS9050 series are equipped with PIXMA Touch & Print with NFC for a very simple connection to Android mobile devices via the Canon PRINT App: A tap is sufficient for printing or scanning. The models of the PIXMA TS9050 series can also be used via the LAN connection from the other PCs in the network.
Prices and availability of the PIXMA TS series
From November, all models will be available. The TS5050 costs 115 euros, the TS6050 145 euros. The two top models TS 8050 and TS 9050 cost 195 euros and 265 euros respectively.
